About Luba CEO & Founder

Luba Shapiro, Ph.D., has over 15 years of experience in the clinical trial industry. Luba started Scopus in 2017 and serves as CEO. Prior to establishing Scopus, Luba worked in almost every stage of clinical research in the process of becoming a leader in her field. She has filled the positions of Study Coordinator, CTA (Clinical Trials Assistant), CRA (Clinical Research Associate), and Project Manager. She advanced to be the Head of a Clinical Department, Project Team Leader, and Director of Clinical Operations. Now, Luba has created a new standard of clinical research at Scopus.

Luba received her BA in Political Science from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, in 2002. 

She received an MA and Ph.D. in Community Mental Health from the University of Haifa in Haifa, Israel. 

Prior to founding Scopus, Luba served as Director of Clinical Operations, Project Manager and Head of clinical development at Glamed Pharmaceuticals, Prior to Galmed, Luba held several positions including Sr. CRA at Quintiles (IQVIA) and Team Lead and Business Development in Q-Trials.
